Elysian Elementary School

The Elysian School project consisted of a 32,000 SF addition and a 20,000 SF multi-phase interior remodel of the existing facility. The project consisted of a complete site work package including all excavation, pavement, site concrete, landscaping and site utilities. The project was a great success being completed on schedule and under budget.

The addition of this project consisted of standard spread footings, foundation walls and slab on grade. The exterior walls consisted of wood framing, and metal stud framing. The exterior finishes included a block veneer and a rain screen hardi reveal siding system. The roof structure consisted of wood joists will membrane roofing.

The interior of the new addition consisted of ground and polished concrete floors, VCT, ceramic tile and carpet. The interior walls included plastic laminate wainscot, tackable wall panels, ceramic tile and paint. The ceilings consisted of acoustical ceiling tiles a large decorative acoustical ceiling in the commons area. The new addition housed the new commercial kitchen as the existing kitchen was being demoed and removed from the existing building.

The remodel of the existing classroom was completed in 2 phases spanning 2 summers. The multiple phases were required as some areas of the existing was moving into the new facility which required the addition to be completed so these areas could be relocated. The 20,000 SF remodel was a large task considering the time frame for each phase was only 11 weeks long during the summer and had to be operational for the start of the school year.

Having the opportunity to be associated with Fisher Construction during the remodeling of current school and the building of the new school has been fantastic! I can’t imagine this building project going as smoothly as it has without their professionalism, high standards, and the pride they have taken in this project. I highly recommend Fisher Construction for any future projects they might be seeking. They can’t be beat!

In the 25 plus years that I have been practicing architecture within the Billings construction market, I have had numerous opportunities to work with Fisher Construction…I have found Fisher Construction and their staff to be a valuable resource in the success of those projects within aspects of contract time completion requirements, budget control and care and desire to provide the best quality project to an owner.
