Huntley Project High School
The Huntley Project School involved the new construction of a combined junior high / high school building after the old high school building was lost in a fire.
The new school building consists of 2 floors. The majority of the building was wood framed however structural steel is used in locations throughout The main building houses 2 separate classroom wings, the gymnasium, a full kitchen and a commons area that includes a stage. The building also includes the administrative offices and storage areas. Site improvements, include new utilities and parking. The building is heated and cooled using a closed loop geothermal heat pump system. The new gymnasium is constructed of masonry and features a seating capacity of 1,970.
