Fisher Construction, Inc. has a top to bottom commitment to project success utilizing a spirit of cooperation, integrity and hard work. As President of Fisher Construction Inc., Jim is responsible for the day to day operation of the company. With over 30 years of experience as an estimator/project manager, Jim has been responsible for all facets of project management. Jim received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Montana State University – Bozeman and has extensive experience working on large, demanding projects.

Jim is active in Rotary and has been a past President. He is the on the board of the Montana Contractors Association as Vice President and is the President Elect for 2017. He also gives his time on the Development Process Advisory Review Board of the City of Billings.


Brent-Sumner - PersonnelBRENT SUMNER

Brent has been with Fisher Construction for nearly 30 years and became Vice President in 2001. A Billings Montana native, Brent earned his degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Montana State University in Bozeman. He manages all field operations and personnel. With an exceptional understanding of the many benefits of Construction Management, Brent has successfully completed many projects in the region. Brent provides pre-construction guidance and estimating for the many projects. He is actively involved in the preparation of the bidding packages, subcontractor recommendations and awards, and value engineering. He regularly works with the project managers and field supervisors to address labor needs.

Brent also handles the company’s technology plan, making sure that estimators, project managers, superintendents and support staff have the technology to efficiently manage projects of any size. In addition, Brent has been on the Billings Preservation Society Board of Directors for the last 5 years.

Chuck directs and manages the complete construction process and follow up, including all of the subcontractors and suppliers. He also coordinates with the Owner’s contractors, reviews subcontractor work and directs changes to meet plans and specifications, provides pre-punch list inspections for substantial and final inspections. He is accurate when it comes to phase planning, efficient at work scheduling, safety driven, motivates his crews. His communication and attention to detail are second to none. Chuck takes his pivotal position very seriously works to ensure that each and every project has been completed on time, within the agreed budget, and with no injuries. He has been with Fisher Construction for over nearly 40 years and was recognized for his outstanding abilities with the Craftsman of the Year award in 1991.


Shane-Ridley - PersonnelSHANE RIDLEY

Shane has 15 years of commercial construction experience specializing in project management and site supervision. He takes ownership of the project and feels that everyone looks to us as the one who must coordinate all the items for a successful project. As our Project Manager, Shane efficiently develops complete teams, schedules procedures, works diligently for accurate cost estimating and ensures that detailed reports are provided to all members of the team.

He’s involved in every phase of the project offering invaluable input. He reviews all of the designs for constructability, schemes, and participates in decisions regarding construction materials, methods, systems, phasing, sustainability and costs to provide quality and adherence to budget and schedules. Having the same person estimate and manage the project results in no lost information with the handoff between estimating and project management. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from South Dakota State University.
